Terry Lynn Silva 1946 - 2009 Surrounded by loving family and friends, Terry Silva passed away at his home in Bakersfield on January 8, 2009. Born in Delano on January 8, 1946 to Wilbur Silva and Jean McCasland-Silva, Terry is survived by daughters Shelby and Teryn Silva, former wife and loving friend Debbie Silva, sister Vicki Silva Madden, brother in law Bobby Madden and nephew Brett Madden. Terry graduated from Delano High School in 1964. He was a decorated Vietnam veteran serving in the U.S. Army from 1965 to 1967. He was an active member in the Delano Elks Lodge #1761 and the American Legion Post 124. Terry was a businessman in Delano with Topper Electric, Inc. for 25 years. He loved golf, dove hunting, baseball, football, boating and dancing. Terry had boundless compassion for those he loved. His winning smile and laugh will live in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. Friends serving as pallbearers will be Ronnie Jaussaud, Butch Wyrick, Joe Campbell, Steve Derington, Jimmy Camunes, and Marty Zaninovich. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00am Friday, January 16, 2009 at North Kern Cemetery, Delano, and will be officiated by Brandon Holthaus of Valley Baptist Church. The family wishes to express their appreciation to Dr. Cartmell and the staff at CBCC along with the loving staff at Hoffmann Hospice.
