Daily Sentinel - Wednesday, Aug. 7, 1913

Mrs. Amy R. Barnard, wife of L.J. Barnard, one of the old residents of Berlin township, passed away suddenly at 1 o'clock this morning at their farm home one mile and one half west of Tremayne's Corners. Mrs. Barnard has not been well since her long and serious illness last winter, but she has been in the city many times this summer and has done some of the light work around the home. Last Wednesday she attended the harvest picnic at Saranac in company with the family. Besides her wide circle of friends and the husband, she leaves five children, Earl W. Barnard, who lives at home on the Barnard farm in Berlin, Elgie Barnard of Paw Paw, Mich., Mrs. C.E. Sessions of this city, Mrs. J.C. Morse of Breckenridge, Mo., ad Mrs. Frank Hope of Lansing.
