She and her husband of sixty years, Ed have three children, Connie, Dennis and Gary.
For the most part she was a homemaker. After working before she married Ed in 1954, she devoted herself to her growing family.
A few years after she lost Ed (2014), her adult children moved her to Bickford Senior Living in Mission, Kansas, where she lived out her life in relative comfort.

Jackie was born in Kansas City, Kansas to Rex and Berniece Copp. She graduated from Wyandotte High School in 1951. While working for the TWA Credit Union she met Edward Phillips and enjoyed sixty years of marriage. Jackie was a member of the Wyandotte United Methodist Church, and former member of the Grandview United Methodist Church. Waiting at Heaven's Gate are her husband Ed, parents, and three sisters.
She leaves her children Connie Briggs, Dennis (Jamie) Phillips, Gary (Janice) Phillips; five grandchildren; and three great-granddaughters; sister Colleen Cheyney Cook; brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws; and many nieces, nephews, and friends whom she loved dearly.
As a final token of her Faith and Love, Jackie has donated her body to KU School of Medicine. A memorial service will honor her life at 3:00 pm on Friday, June 25, 2021 at the Wyandotte United Methodist Church, 7901 Oakland Avenue, Kansas City, Kansas 66112.
