S.J. Anderson, 59, Interred in Warren Saturday--
Military funeral services for S.J. Anderson, 59, were held Saturday from Evangelical Covenant church in Warren with Rev. Gottfred Anderson officiating.

Mr. Anderson died at his home in Warren on Memorial Day. Interment was made in Warren Greenwood cemetery. Active pallbearers were Ruben Nyland, Charles Cheney, Arthur Bossman, Herbert Drews, Oliver Thompson and Lawrence Knutson. Honorary bearers were Wilmoth Carlson, Almer Bergquist, Herman Ranstrom, Lester Abrahamson, Melvin Anderson, Clifford Nelson, Clifford Nyland, and Oscar Melgaard.

A life-long resident of the Warren community, Sidney J. Anderson was a road contractor for 20 years and was employed by the city of Warren last year. He was a member of the Warren Post of the American Legion and the local Masonic lodge. He served with the U.S. Army during World War I.

Survivors include his wife, Ann; two sisters, Helga of Fergus Falls and Elsie of Norfolk, Nebraska.

Warren Post 27 of the American Legion was in charge of military services.
