Charles Thomas Dorminey 72, of Sylvester, formerly of Perry died Tuesday at his residence following an illness. The family will receive friends 10:30 AM Friday, January 16, 2008 at Floral Memory Gardens and the graveside service will begin at 11 AM. Reverends Jason Jones and Frank Hall will officiate. A native of Doerun, Mr. Dorminey has lived in several towns in South Georgia. He served his country proudly as a member of the United States Air Force. He was of the Baptist faith. He retired as a Drivers License Examiner in Perry with the Georgia Department of Transportation. He was a loving and well loved brother, uncle and friend. He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond E. and Myrtice V. Hatcher Dorminey. He is survived his sister Merle Dorminey McGamery of Sylvester; 2 brothers: William "Ray" Dorminey and his wife Stella of Ball Ground, GA and Mike Dorminey of Leesburg; nieces: Pam Hill, Kim Mills, and Lauren Dorminey: nephews: Matt Dorminey, Keith Dorminey, and Greg Sessoms; and a host of great nieces, great nephews and close friends.
