He was born on November 24, 1946, to Rudolph and Esther (Andrews) Anderson. He attended Red Wing Schools, graduating in 1965. He was a graduate of Columbia School of Broadcasting and worked for radio stations in Rochester and Red Wing for several years. He then worked at Ralston Purina for 20 years and later at Treasure Island Casino in security. He married Janet Nelson in 1966 and they had two sons, Paul and Dale. They later divorced. He then married JoAnn Brodd in 1975. Together they had two sons, Ingemar and Ethan. They also later divorced. He enjoyed gardening, music and traveling. He will be greatly missed by family and friends.
Survivors include three sons, Dale, Ingemar and Ethan, all of Red Wing; his mother, Esther Anderson of Red Wing; three brothers, Richard (Barbara) Anderson of Waukesha, Wis., Joe (Beverly) Anderson of Bertha, Minn. and John (Julie) Anderson of Rockford, Ill., along with nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Rudolph and son Paul.
Funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel. Burial will be in the Burnside Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday and for one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
