Word has been received in Wabash of the death of Daniel Poe Smyres, 94, Civil War Veteran, of McPherson, Kansas, which occurred Saturday, March 4.
Mr. Smyres was a former resident of Wabash County. He was the son of Lewis Smyres, who died in 1892. He was a half brother of John Smyres, Wabash, Mrs. Elmyra Fulton, Lagro, and Mrs. Frank Conner, Long Beach California.
