Denison, Texas-- Services were held in Texas and later in Missouri for Larry Eldon Bozarth, 61, Denison, Texas.
Mr. Bozarth died Tuesday, Oct.10, 1989, at the Texoma Medical Center in Denison following a brief illness.
Services were held Friday, Oct.13, at the Waples Memorial United Metheodist Church in Denison, with Dr. Bob Robertson, pastor officiating. Services were then held Saturday, Oct.14, at Warden's Chapel in Conway, Mo. with the Rev. Howard Cowan officiating. Burial was in Marlin Cemetery in Conway under the direction of Bratcher Funeral Home of Denison.
Mr. Bozarth was born Jan. 20, 1928, in Conway, the son of Nathanial Berton and Eula Williams Bozarth. His family moved to Mt.Vernon, where he graduated from Mt.Vernon High School in 1945. He worked as a mechanical roustabout for Chevron Oil, retiring in 1983. He was a member of Waple Memorial United Methodist Church, the Lions, V.F.W. and the Texoma Square Dance Club, all in Denison. He served in the Navy in World War II.
He married Loretta Eskew. She preceded him in death. On Jan.1, 1950, he married Juanita Jackson in Stark City. She survives.
Other survivors include two sons, Gary Ray Bozarth of Carthage and William Burton Bozarth of Ariel, Wash; one daughter, Maryetta Johnston of Hobbs, N.M.; and six grandchildren.
Pallbearers at the Conway service were George Barnes, Bill Schlomann, Bruce Larson, Dean Rhoten, Charlie Shockley and Stanley Day.
