William Truett Jones-Pueblo Chieftain-September 22, 2000-William Truett Jones, 76, longtime Crowley County resident, died Sept. 19, 2000, at Pioneers Nursing Center in Rocky Ford. A former Crowley County commissioner, county judge for 12 years, served on Crowley county Board of Education, community leader and an avid hunter and Crowley County sports fan. Survived by wife, Annie, of Pioneers Nursing Home in Rocky Ford; daughters, Judy(Verle) Bean of Eads, Colo. and Nancy Jones, Portland, Ore.; sons, Bill (Mary Lou) Jones and Bruce (Debra) Jones, both of Pueblo; and six grandchildren. Services, 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 23, 2000, at Olney Springs Community Methodist Church. Burial in Olney Springs Cemetery. Memorials to Crowley Heritage Center or Pioneers Nursing Home may be sent in care of Griffy Family Funeral Home in Fowler.
