Funeral services for Clara Middleton were held Saturday, May 26, 2007 in the Craig-Hurtt Chapel with Rev. Duane Crewse officiating. Betty Dale, Ray Bradley, and Fern Dugger served as singers. Teresa Bradley served as musician. Song selections were "Old Rugged Cross," "Will The Circle Be Unbroken," "We Will Understand Better By And By," and "He Means The World To Me." Pallbearers were Kendra Fisher, Andrew Fisher, Brittiany Fisher, Tonya Suffel, Christopher Stevens, and Amy Bradley. Burial was in the Willow Springs Cemetery under the direction of the Craig-Hurtt Funeral Home, Mountain Grove, MO.

Clara I. Middleton, 89 years, formerly of Mountain Grove, Mo., Bryan and Edgerton, Ohio, died Saturday, May 19, 2007 in Waterville, Ohio. She was a seamstress for the former K&R Cleaners and a cook for Lester's Diner in Bryan. She attended the Edgerton Church of Christ and was a member of the Willow Springs Freewill Baptist Church near Mountain Grove, Mo.

Clara was born on June 9, 1917 in Mountain Grove to James and Samantha (Hill) Bradshaw. She married Forest Middleton on December 23, 1933 in Mountain Grove. He preceded her in death on January 26, 1971.

She was preceded in death by two daughters, Barbara and Joann Middleton; four brothers, Walter, Leonard, William, and Lawrence Bradshaw; and by one sister, Nellie Caudle.

She is survived by one son, Jerry Middleton and his wife, Bonnie, of Bryan, Ohio; one daughter, Patricia Penrod of Colorado Springs, CO; six grandchildren, John Paine, Jr. and his wife Kim, of Bryan, Ohio, Kendra Fisher of Bryan, Ohio, Jeff Paine and his wife, Angie of Bryan, Ohio, Tonya M. Suffel and her husband, Christopher, of Edgerton, Ohio, Christopher Stevens of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Amy Bradley and her husband, Marshall, of Reisterstown, Maryland; great grandchildren, John III and Stevi Paine, Kiera Suffel, Caleb Stevens, and Anthony and Andrew Bradley; and other relatives and friends who will sadly miss her.
