Born in Macomb, NY. Attended schools in the town of Macomb and was first married to John Damon of Syracuse. She was later married to Hobart Tann of Hammond, NY on April 12, 1939 at Brasie Corners, NY. She and Hobart operated the Hammond hardware store until his death in 1947. She then purchased a home in DePeyster where she lived the next 23 years.

Burial was in Woodlawn Cemetery, Syracuse.
