He was born Sep. 26, 1934 in Detroit, Red River Co. TX to Willie Dee and Hester Louise Morton Crews. He married Hayako Meade August 1, 1961. He was a member of the Church of God. He retired from the U.S. Navy after 26 years. He was also retired from Campbell Soup Company after 18 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, William Leroy Crews; three sisters, Terri, Carolyn and Patsy Crews.
Survivors are his wife, Hayako; step-mother, Nina Crews; three sisters, Mary Moore, Dona Boydston and Pat (Jerry) Thompson; five brothers, Ralph (Julie) Crews, James (Shirley) Crews, Clyde (Cleo) Crews, Mike (Regenea) Crews, and Willie Crews; several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Robert Blake Crews, Mike Crews Jr, Doug Thompson, Terry Thompson, Charles Crews, William Crews, Jimmy Autrey and William Autrey.
