He was born to Christ and Josephine Allen on Feb. 13, 1907, in Sleepy Eye, Minn. He lived in Minnesota for 26 years before moving to Union, where he lived for 30 years before moving to Shelton. He was an honorary member of the Shelton 40 et 8 Club.
Surviving Mr. Allen are two daughters, Betty Dean of Lake Limerick and Bonnie Hayes of Hoodsport; four sons, Bob of Sequim, Ray of Port Angeles, Dick of Union and Ron of Plains, Mont.; 19 grandchildren and numerous great and great-great-grandchildren.
A graveside service for Mr. Allen will begin at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 5, 1993, in Shelton Memorial Park, Shelton." The Olympian (Olympia, Washington), February 4, 1993
