He was born to Isaac and Minnie (Wilbur) Allen on Oct. 18, 1932, in Shelton, where he lettered in football, track and baseball at Shelton High School. He served in the U.S. Army and had been employed as a logger by the Simpson Timber Company. Mr. Allen had lived in Tacoma for 10 years, where he attended a Catholic church. He was a member of Senior Citizens and the Skokomish Indian Tribe. He enjoyed hunting and fishing commercially on the Skokomish Reservation.
Surviving Mr. Allen are two sisters, Anne Clark of Tacoma and Elsie Gamber of the Skokomish Reservation; a foster-daughter, Marlene 'Mousie' Bob of Tacoma; and a niece, his caretaker, Gwen Allen of Tacoma.
The funeral service for Mr. Allen will begin at 1 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 31, in the McComb and Batstone Funeral Home Chapel, Shelton, with the Rev. Nick Wilbur officiating. Interment will take place in Shelton Memorial Park." The Olympian (Olympia, Washington), December 30, 1992
