Barbara "Babs" A. (Barshinger) Fregm Scholl, of Red Lion, went home to rest in her heavenly Father's arms after a lengthy illness on Thursday, January 15, 2009, at her residence at the age of 63. She was the wife of Roy L. Scholl of Red Lion, whom she married December 23, 2005, and Victor Ray Fregm, Jr., who entered into rest on June 3, 1998.

Barbara was born in York on March 9, 1945, and was the daughter of the late John B. and Bette L. (Fake) Barshinger.

She was a homemaker, a bus driver for F&S Transportation, and a long time member of Grace Baptist of York church. She was the very first and only woman to be Mayor of Windsor, serving for a total of two terms.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by five sons, Wade R. Fregm of York, Troy A. Fregm and wife, Tracy, and Cory M. Fregm and wife, Drenee', all from Red Lion, Kent D. Scholl and wife ,Joelle of East Petersburg, and Miguel A Correa of Red Lion; two daughters, Kaylene D. Henderson and husband, Chris of Ellijay, Ga., and Kendra D. Scholl of Lititz; 13 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and three brothers, Barry L. Barshinger and wife, Judy of Red Lion, John R. Barshinger and wife, Bonnie of Windsor, and David L. Barshinger and wife, Cheryl of Coudersport.

Burial will be at Susquehanna Memorial Gardens.
