George W. Garland of 522 Wayne street, Hollidaysburg, was found dead in bed at his home this morning. He was born in Altoona, Oct. 6, 1873. He was a member of the Lutheran church, Hollidaysburg, and was a Spanish-American war veteran, having served with company C, 5th Pennsylvania volunteers. His wife, Minnie (Reed) Garland, died in 1933.
Surviving are nine children, Mrs. Carrie Malke of Buffalo, NY, Mrs. Dorothy Baker, Mrs. Almeda Becker and Andrew, all of Altoona, Cosetta, at home, and George, Mrs. Phyllis Franks, Mrs. Esther Burket and Lawrence, all of Hollidaysburg, and one brother Timothy of Bethlehem. Friends will be received at the Creamer and Plank funeral home after 7 o'clock tomorrow evening.

GARLAND - Funeral services for George W. Garland of 22 Wayne Street, Hollidaysburg, will be held at 2'clock Saturday afternoon in the Creamer & Plank furneral Home, Hollidaysburg, by Rev. E. N. Bauer. Interment in Carson Valley Cemetery. Friends will be received at the Cramer & Plank funeral home after 7 o'clock this evening.
