NOTE: Clara's mother died shortly after Clara was born. Clara was raised by her grandfather, Charles Allison, and her step-grandmother, Mary M. Garvin - Allison. Clara's mother never married and her father is unknown.

Mrs. Clara Govey

Mrs. Clara Govey, 77 died at the home of her son, Cyril Govey of 206 Church st., Chester, today at 5:15 a.m. following a long illness. She was a member of the Free Methodist church. She is survived by another son, W. J. Govey of Portland, Ore.; a daughter, Mrs. Forrest Kimble of Akron, and seven grandchildren. The body will be returned today from the Stewart funeral home to the late home where friends may call. Funeral arrangements are incomplete.

Services for Mrs. Clara Govey, 77, who died Wednesday at 5:15 a.m. in the home of her son, Cyril Govey of 206 Church st., Chester, will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. from the home. Rev. Brooks Morgan, pastor of the Chester Church of The Nazarene, will officiate. Burial will be in Flats cemetery, Pughtown. Friends may call tonight at the home.
