James Doliver Keyser, Sr., 70, of Darien deid June,12, 2008, at Hospice of the Golden Isles.

A native of Ranger, W.Va.,he had lived most of his life in South Georgia. He was a member of Northside Baptist Church of Darien, LIve Oak Lodge No. 137 F&AM and Jamaica Hunting Club. He was retired from the U.S. Navy having been assigned to the USS Shangri-la, was a retired fireman with United States Civil Service, and had worked with Glynn County Police Department and the City of Darien Police Department.

Survivors include his wife, Inez Jacobs Keyser of Darien; two daughters, Kay Keyser of Darien and Nanci Taylor of Brunswick; a daughter-in-law, Affie Martin of St. Marys; a sister, Ann Labarre, of Wayne, Mich.: four grandchidlren, Ashley Durham, Amber Durham, Aaron Johnson and Janet Keyser; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service sill be held at 2 p.m. Monday, June 16, 2008 at Chapman Funeral Chapel with Lloyd Crum officiating. Burial, with Masonic rites will follow in the Ammons-Warner Cemetery, Atkinson.

Pallbearers will be Ronnie Medlock, Joe Thomas, Eric Simmons, Chris Senior, Aaron Johnson, Terry Jacobs, Trenton Cox and Eugene Holland.
Honorary pallbearers will be members of Live Oak Lodge No. 137 F&AM.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations to Hospice of the Goden Isles, 1692 glyco Parkway, brunswick, GA 31525.
Chapman Funeral Chapel and Crematory is on charge of arrangements.
