Travis Jones, age 88, of Lawrenceburg, passed away Monday. He was a native of Lauderdale County, former owner of Jones Home Furnishings, a founding member of Immanuel Baptist Church and an elected delegate to the 1984 Republican National Convention.
He is survived by one daughter, Shirley Hunt of Lawrenceburg, three sons, The Honorable Bob Jones of Columbia, Jerry Jones of Lawrenceburg and Lynn Jones of Franklin, one sister, Celestine McKee of Florence and two brothers, Hermas and L.C. Jones both of Alabama. 9 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1 at Neal Funeral Home with Ronald Guthrie officiating. Burial will be in the Lawrence County Memorial Gardens.
