Mrs. Dan Zeig

Mrs. D. N. Zeig, 58, lifelong resident of Le Mars passed away at her home on 514 - 3rd Ave. S. E. on April 15 following a sickness of three years.

Jessie Becker was born July 16, 1898 (sic/1897) in Plymouth county, the daughter of John and Amelia Becker. She was married to D. N. (Dan) Zeig on February 14, 1919 here.

Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 18 at St. James Catholic church in Le Mars with Father L. J. LeVelle officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery under the direction of the Wiltgen-Luedtke funeral home. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7:00 p.m. Tuesday.

Survivors include her husband, Dan; Cloyd of Remsen and one grandchild. Two brothers, John Becker of Le Mars and Henry Becker of Spencer, S. D.; a sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Kunkel of Alexandria, S. D. also survive.

Preceding her in death were two sisters, Clara and Obdulia and two brothers, Casper and a brother in infancy.

Deceased was the past president of St. James Ladies Club and was influential in organizing the F. O. E. Auxiliary 1381 in Le Mars.

Mrs. D. N. Zeig, 58, lifelong Plymouth county resident, died Sunday, April 15, at her home at 514 3rd Ave. SE after three years of illness.

Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at St. James Catholic church. Burial will be at Calvary cemetery. Friends may call at the Wiltgen-Luedtke funeral home after 7 p.m. Tuesday.

Jessie Becker was born July 16, 1898 (sic/1897), in Plymouth county, the daughter of John and Amelia Becker. She was married to D. N. Zeig at Le Mars February 14, 1919. She had lived in Le Mars since her marriage.

She was a past-president and secretary of St. James Ladies aid and helped organize and served as president of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Fraternal Order of Eagles 1381 here.

Survivors are her husband; one son, Cloyd of Remsen; one grandchild; two brothers, John Becker of Le Mars and Henry Becker of Spencer, S. D., and a sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Kunkel of Alexandria, S. D.
