JESSE A. WATT

CASTLE HILL - Jess A. Watt, 91, died Feb. 19, 1993, at a Presque Isle hospital. He was born Aug. 2, 1901, at Castle Hill, the son of Archibald C. and Etta (Field) Watt.

He attended the Advent Christian Church in Ashland. He was a potato and dairy farmer and for 5 years was a mail carrier. He was awarded the Golden Cane in Castle Hill in 1992 and was named resident of the month at the Presque Isle Nursing Home in 1993. The Castle Hill Town Report will be dedicated to Mr. Watt in 1993.

He is survived by his wife, Eliza (McHatten) Watt; and a son and his wife, Richard F. and Pat Watt Sr., all of Castle Hill; two daughters, Mrs. Edward (Gertrude) Beaulieu of Mapleton and Ruth Wood of Presque Isle; two brothers, Leland Watt of Mapleton and William Watt of Lisbon; 16 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son, Herbert A. "Sonny"; two daughters, Helen Elizabeth and Elizabeth Jane; a sister, Florence Blake.

Friends may call from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Saturday at the Graves Funeral Home, 30 Church St., Presque Isle. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Sunday at the Advent Christian Church in Ashland with the Rev. Alan Chamberlin officiating. Spring interment will be in the Ashland Municipal Cemetery. Those who wish may make a donation in memory of Mr. Watt to the Advent Christian Church, Ashland 04732.
