Bert Brady Rites Set

LaFargeville -- The funeral for Bert W. Brady, 72, who died in Strong Memorial hospital, Rochester, Thursday, will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at Parker-Hoyt funeral home, Rev. Frank MacLaughlin, pastor, LaFargeville Methodist church, officiating, assisted by Rev. Clifford Sullivan, former pastor. Burial will be in Grove cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home today and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mildred Spencer Matthews Brady; 2 step-daughters; 2 step-sons; a brother, Ross A. Brady, LaFargeville, and three sisters, Mrs. Lottie Haller and Mrs. Francis (Grace) Hughes, both of LaFargeville, and Mrs. Kenneth (Gladys) Timmerman, Sackets Harbor.

Mr. Brady was born 1 Sep 1894 in Evans Mills, a son of Richard and Lucy Carpenter Brady. He moved to LaFargeville as a child and was educated in LaFargeville schools.

He married Miss Myrthel Bretch of LaFargeville at LaFargeville. He worked the Bretch homestead farm until his wife died in May, 1953. He then went to Maryland where he worked on construction. In 1957 he married Mrs. Mildred Matthews.

He was a member of Depauville Lodge, F. & A.M., and of LaFargeville Methodist church.
