Albert Dennis Clary


Albert Dennis Clary, 64, of Forest City, N.C., died Dec. 14.

A native of Gaffney, he was the husband of Vernelle Blackwell Clary and the son of Lula Hodges Clary and the late Albert Dean Clary. He was the retired owner, operator and truck driver at Buel, Inc., a member of the VFW, a veteran of the Navy for 12 years and a member of New Hope United Methodist Church.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by three daughters, Annette Clary McGee of High Point, N.C., Angela Lynn Clary of Florence and Robin Denise Clary of Gaston; two sons, Jonathan David Clary of Gaffney and Randy Voyd Scruggs of Spartanburg; two sisters, Merilus Taylor of Myrtle Beach and Janice C. McGee of Mims, Fla., a brother, John Clary of Greer; and nine grandchildren, Dustin, Nicklaus, Amber, Sheyanne, John, James, Dody, Sarah Kate and Ashlyn.

Clary was preceded in death by a sister, Phyllis Parker and a brother, Truman Derrell Clary.

The family receieved friends yesterday at Eggers Funeral Home in Chesnee. Funeral services will be held today at 11 a.m. at Eggers Funeral Home with the Revs. Brooks Clary and Butch Osborne officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Paran Baptist Church cemetery in Blacksburg.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to VA Medical Center, Attn: Hospice, 1100 Tunnel Road, Asheville, NC 28805.

The family will be at 110 Double L Lane, Lot 12, in Forest City, N.C.
