Lottie Haller, 93, LaFargeville, Dies

LAFARGEVILLE -- Mrs. Lottie M. Haller, 93, Maple Street, a widow of Frank Haller, died at 6:53 a.m. Wednesday in the House of the Good Samaritan, Watertown, where she had been a patient since Aug. 7. She had been in failing health for four years.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Frederick Brothers Funeral Home, Rev. William J. Otis, pastor of the United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Grove Cemetery.

Calling hours will be 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. The Rebekah Lodge of Redwood will conduct services at 7:30 p.m. Friday.

Surviving are a son, Roscoe, Clayton; five grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; a brother, Ross Brady, LaFargeville, and two sisters, Mrs. Francis (Grace) Hughes, LaFargeville, and Mrs. Kenneth (Gladys) Timmerman, Star Lake.

A brother, Bert Brady, a son, Thurston, and a daughter, Mrs. Helen Sampson, died before her.

Born Feb. 14, 1890 at Stone Mills, daughter of Richard and Lucy Carpenter Brady, she was married to Frank Haller on April 2, 1913 at LaFargeville. The couple moved to the Haller homestead on the Dutch Gap Road.

Mr. Haller, a Town of Orleans supervisor for 20 years and vice president of the First National Bank of LaFargeville, died March 4, 1954 at age 68.

Mrs. Haller continued to live on the Haller homestead until the farm was sold in 1969 and she moved to Maple Street.

She was a member of the LaFargeville United Methodist Church and a former member of Rebekah Lodge, OES.
