Graveside services for Cora Gaither, 77, Durant, who passed away Friday, Jan. 16, 2009, in the Medical Center of Southeastern Oklahoma, Durant, were held at 2 p.m. Saturday in Rosehill Cemetery, Calera. Rev. Kerry Groce officiated.
Cora was born Tuesday, March 26, 1931, in Armstrong to William J. and Nora (Newton) Elliott. She married R B Gaither on July 20, 1949, in Sherman, Texas. She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Gaither was of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed riding horses when she was younger. She also enjoyed music and taking care of her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Cora is survived by her husband; sons James R B Gaither, Durant, Billy Gaither, Honey Grove, Texas, Doyle Gaither, Greenville, Texas, Tommy Gaither, Kaufman, Texas, and Danny Gaither Edgewood, Texas; daughter Janie Bell, Durant; 12 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
