DEATH OF JOHN FOUT
A Respected Resident of Madison, Occurred Saturday Evening.
The death of John Fout occurred at 5:30 o'clock Saturday evening at his home on Mulberry street, following a long illness with sorosis of the liver. For the last five months Mr. Fout has been confined to bed but during his long illness he was always cheerful and abided his fate with the fortitude of a true Christian.
The decedent was a native of this city and was a son of the late John and Susan Fout. He was 54 years old last March and spent his entire life in Madison with the exception of a few years that he lived at Shelbyville, Ind. For a long time Mr. Fout had been engaged in business on Mulberry street, dealing in household goods of all kinds. He was a good citizen and business man and his death will be keenly felt among a wide circle of friends and acquaintances.
Mr. Fout is survived by a wife, formerly Miss Elizabeth Wells, and four children, William, Charles and Henry of Shelbyville, Ind., and Ruth Lucile, living a thome. He also leaves three brothers, Beniwell Fout, of Danville, Ill.; Andrew Fout, of Indianapolis, and Joseph Fout, of this city. He was a member of Grace Church and held membership in Juaniata Tribe I.O.R.M. and Clifty Falls Camp, M.W. of A.
The funeral will take place at 2 o'clock tomorrow afternoon from the residence on Mulberry street and the interment will be in Springdale cemetery. Friends are inviyed to the funereal.
