Mrs. Crissie Luella Brown, aged 55, wife of C. A. Brown of North Washington, died at her home in that place at 8 o'clock Saturday night after a lingering illness. She was the daughter of John and Eliza Hillard of Eau Claire, Venango township.
Born December 8, 1872, she married C. A. Brown in Butler on July 17, 1895, after which they moved to Wheeling. W. Va., later removing to the Dr. Hoover farm near West Sunbury. She had been a resident of North Washington for twenty-three years.
Surviving her, besides her husband, are five daughters, Mrs. Frank F. Fair, Argentine; Mrs. John T. Brough, Butler; Mrs. Clara Wise, Evans City; Mrs. Charles Hanks, Butler; and Miss Mary Brown, at home; five brothers, Archibald Hillard, Ochalata, Okla; John Hilliard, Linesville, O.; Leon Hillard, Webster, Pa.; Clair Hillard, Butler; Ralph Hillard, Butler; two sisters, Mrs, John Stoops, Karnes City; and Mrs. Hugh Steel of Bruin, and eight grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 o'clock tomorrow afternoon from the residence of Rev. W. S. McNees, pastor of the Presbyterian Church of North Washington, of which Mrs. Brown was a member, officiating. Interment will be made in the Presbyterian Cemetery at that place.
