Bondshu, 31, was residing with his wife of 8 years, Elizabeth M., 25, children Albert C., 7, and Lila M., 5, and sister-in-law Jeanette Halstead, 16, in Mariposa County, California. Frank was a recorder and auditor, was born in Mar 1869 in IA, his father in Germany, and mother in Ohio. Elizabeth was born in Apr 1875 in California, her father in Michigan, and mother in California, and she had given birth to two children who were living. Albert was born in Apr 1893 and Lila in Aug 1894, both in California. Jeanette was born in Jul 1883 in California, father in Michigan and mother in California, and was attending school. Frank was a county offices assessor, was born in Iowa, father in Germany and mother in Ohio. Elizabeth was born in California, as was her mother, father in Michigan.      Funeral services for Frank Albert Bondshu, 78, a pioneer Mariposa county resident, were held Thursday in the Tiscornia and Ivers funeral home in Mariposa. Burial was in Mariposa cemetery.

     Bondshu died Tuesday morning in Lewis Memorial hospital, Yosemite National Park, after a brief illness.

     Mariposa county assessor for 28 years, Bondshu retired in 1928 to enter the abstract and title business. Prior to becoming county assessor, he served as county recorder.

     A native of Des Moines, Iowa, he came to Coulterville 76 years ago. Before entering the political field, he taught school at Coulterville and Hornitos.

     Surviving is his widow, Elizabeth Bondshu, of Mariposa; a daughter, Mrs. Lila Ham, of Oakland; three sons, Harold, of Mariposa; Elmer, of Oakland, and Lt. Col. Lowell T. Bondshu, now stationed in Germany with the U. S. Army; a brother, Thomas Hope of Moccacin.

     Also surviving are 11 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

     Bondshu was a member of Mariposa Lodge No. 24, F. and A. M.
