Melvin R. Rohrbaugh was born September 21, 1901, and died in York, Pa., January 2, 1944, aged 42 years, 3 months, and 11 days.
Mr. Rohrbaugh was a victim of the flu and pneumonia. His death came as a distinct shock having been ill only a few days. He grew up in the vicinity of Smith's Station. At the time of his death he was a section foreman in the employ of the Western Maryland R. R. in the city of York. He was esteemed by all who knew him and worked with him.
The funeral services were held from the Anstine Funeral Home, West York, Pa., on Wednesday afternoon, January 5, 1944. Burial was made in the Jefferson Cemetery, followed by services in Christ Evangelical Reformed Church, Jefferson, of which he formerly had been a member. The funeral text was Psa. 90:12.
