Services for Pryor Martin, 87, of Brownwood were held at 4 pm Saturday at Davis-Morris Funeral Home with the Rev. Robert Bailey officiating. Burial was in Eastlawn Memorial Park.
He died at 7:30 pm Thursday at Brownwood Regional Hospital following a lengthy illness.
Born in Brownwood Sept. 5, 1905, he married Ethel Gibson in Coleman Aug. 8, 1927. A lifetime resident of Brownwood, he was a retired employee of the City of Brownwood and a member of Coggin Avenue Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife; one son, Charles Martin of Port Arthur; one daughter, Elwanda M. Bruce of Brownwood; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one brother, Edgar Martin of Eldon Miss; and a number of nieces and nephews.
