Gaiter was my great-grandfather. My family genealogical search started with him. He has been hard to track down; he died when my grandfather was only 11 years old. Therefore, the family didn't know a lot about him. I also wasn't sure how to spell his first name. That provided a roadblock too. He is buried behind his mother, Minervia Bowyer and two of his children who died young: Hellen Virginia and Reba Hartsell Bennett. He married Lola Agnes Dunford in 1913. They had 9 children, including my grandfather, Wyatt Jennings Bennett, born in 1915.
