Mr. Abhalter graduated from Marmion Military Academy in 1943 and served three years in the U.S. Navy; and was the owner of Abhalter Food Store on Claim Street in Aurora, IL. Jerry was a member of the American Legion, Aurora Elk Club #705, Aurora Moose Club, the Leland Club of Aurora, Italian-American Club and the former Phi Omega Phi fraternity.
