Martin C Genzler was born June 17,1910 in Oklahoma at Garber OK to Wilhelm Gensler and Bertha Mashanek, they both died in 1914 of Tuberculosis. Martin and his siblings that were under age were put in a Church Home.
Martin served in the US Army from August 19,1942 to November 26, 1942 and was a prisoner of war in the Pacific Theater. He had been in construction until disabled by illness.
He married Ruth Huel Ravera September 12, 1958, it is not known where. They lived in Gordon and Chadron Nebraska and Hot Springs SD before coming to Rapid City two years ago. He is survived by three brothers, George of Lebanon SD, Fred of Gettysburg SD and Alvin of Huron SD and a sister Emma Wynn. He was predeceased by a brother Imo who died in a fire in 1957, William, Arthur, Albert who died when run over by a team of horses in 1919, Albert and Selma Genzler Dooley.
Graveside services will be conducted at 2 pm Friday at Black Hills National Cemetery under the direction of Behren's Mortuary.

Martin Genzler was my Great Uncle. This request is not about his
memorial but about the obit. that was added.
Albert Genzler was listed in the obit as dying in 1914, he was put into a church home after the deaths of his parents and family history said he died from being run over by team of horses in Kansas City Kansas in 1914. I have recently found his tombstone on Find A Grave and that led to finding a death cert. and Obit for him. He was born in 1912 and adopted after his parents deaths in 1914. He died in 1919 in Kansas City Missouri after being run over by an automobile. I was wondering if you could put a note after the obit. correcting that information. His Find a grave memorial is
#98785109 if you need to look at it. I know this doesn't have anything to do with Martin but since Albert is mentioned and the story is told in the obit. I would appreciate it if you could add the correction so the his story gets corrected.
