Suddenly, on Friday, March 22, 1935, at 10 a.m., at the residence of his daughter, Mrs. John Walker (nee Gibbons), 1140 Buchanan St, N.W., JOHN ROBEY GIBBONS, beloved husband of Myrtle Gibbons. Funeral from the above residence; thence to St. Mary's Episcopal Church, at Aquasco, Prince Georges County, Md., at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends invited. Interment church cemetery.

John Robey Gibbons married Catherine"Kate" Tucker 17 March 1878.
They were the parents of:
Catherine M., born 1879
Edith Blanche, wife of John Walker
Elsie M., wife of Mr. Biggs
Kate died before 1909 and John remarried to Myrtle Emma Miller.
