My dear husband and our dear daddy was called home on Monday November 17, 1997 in Ogden. He died peacefully in his sleep of natural causes.
He was born July 7, 1915 in Mountain Home, Utah to Robert James and Donnettie Smith Workman.
Alden married Betty Marie Rees on July 29, 1955 in coalville, Utah. He was a lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and served faithfuly in many callings. Alden served in the European Theater of World War II with the 190th Field Artillery Battalion.
He retires from the Union Pacific Railroad after 30 years of service on the Building and Bridges (B&B), Wyoming Division.
Alden survivied by dear wife Betty and four children Frederick Allen Workman, Ogden; Donna Marie (Workman) Sackett, West Jordan; Peggy Jean (Workman) Christiansen, Harrisville; Robert Alden Workman, Coalville. Also Surviving are his two sisters, Ellen June (Workman) Stewart, Green River, Wy.; Pearl (Workman) Tanner, South Ogden; 14 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father, brother
Franklin Smith Workman, sisters Leona May (Workman) Bentley, Maud (Workman) Taylor and four sweet granddaugthers, Daishon Chantel, Korie Addell, Kimber Marie, and Dervie Brooke Workman.
