G. Eleanor Brubaker, 72, of Yellow Springs, Williamsburg RD 1, died at 11:15 a.m. Monday, Jan. 25, 1988, at Altoona Hospital, following a brief illness.
She was born on Aug. 4, 1915, in Williamsburg, the daughter of Harry H. and Susan M. (Quarry) Loose, and she married Emmert R. Brubaker on Feb. 27, 1937, in Hollidaysburg.
The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. today at the Fairview Church of the Brethren, Williamsburg RD, by the Rev. David Smalley. Burial will be at the Carson Valley Cemetery.
Mrs. Brubaker was a member and deaconess of the Fairview Church and was also a member of the Scotch Valley Grange.
She is survived by her husband, five children: Peggy J. Hanzelman of Bethlehem, Richard I. and Robert J. of Williamsburg RD 1, Bernice P. Kephart of Williamsburg RD 2 and Janet A. Cruse of Hollidaysburg RD 2 and 20 grandchildren.
Also surviving are seven brothers and sisters: Donald W. of Sinking Valley, H. Raymond of Tyrone RD, Theodore E. of Tyrone, Leon P. of Altoona, Palmer M. of Duncansville, Gladys E. Clapper of Lakemont and Janet F. Reasy of Hollidaysburg RD.
Also surviving are three foster children raised in the home: Betty J. Whittaker in Michigan, Iris Rhodes of Williamsburg and John Swartz of Tyrone.
A brother, F. Max, died on Nov. 23, 1987.
The family prefer memorial contributions be given to the American Cancer Society.
