MRS. BLACKWELL DIES IN KANSAS

Massena - Relatives here have been notified of the death of Mrs. Charles Blackwell, 73, the former Sadie Murray, at Larned, Kansas. Mrs. Blackwell had been in failing health several years. She was married to Charles Blackwell in October of 1900 in a double wedding ceremony when her sister Lorrie, was married to Mike Huddleson. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Hazel Eckenrode of Youngstown, Ohio and Mrs. Evelyn Smith, Bison, Kansas, and six sons: Ralph near Orient; Roy, Pawnee Rock, Kansas, Merie and Vern and Harry of Larned, Kansas, and Sam in New York; 19 grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Anna Brisler of Massena and Mrs. Mike Huddleson of Wiota; a brother, Dan Murray of Atlantic. Mrs. S. J. Murray of Massena is a sister-in-law.

Funeral and burial services were held Tuesday at Larned. Relatives from here were unable to go.
