Achsah died October 8, 1919, and is buried beside her husband George in the Evergreen Cemetery in Los Angeles. Achsah's obituary appears at page 6 of the October 9, 1919, edition of "The Bakersfield Californian." It reads:
Mrs. Achsah Williams, 76, died last night at the home of he daughter, Mrs. Joe E. Yancey, at 1216 Eleventh Street with a lingering illness. Funeral services will be held tomorrow morning from the parlors of the Morton Undertaking Company, and the body will be shipped to Los Angeles for burial. The deceased is survived by her daughters Mrs. J. E. Yancey, Mrs. Thomas Gustine of this city, and her three sons, J. H. Williams, Frank C. Williams and E. R. Williams. Mrs. Williams lived in Bakersfield for the past 42 years, although recently much time was spent in Los Angeles. She was known to be a woman of Christian character and had a wide circle of warm friends.
The reference to a daughter "Mrs. Thomas Gustine" in Achsah's obituary is in error. The daughter was Alice, at that time married to James William Ray, and living in Gustine, California.
