Funeral services for J.M. Blasingame, 67, of Harrisburg, will be Friday morning at 11 at First General Baptist Church in Trumann, with Darrell Miller and Leonard Harp officiating. Burial will follow in Boliver Cemetery south of Jonesboro. Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home of Jonesboro is in charge of arrangements.
Active pallbearers will be Greg Shrout, Chris Coots, Paul Blasingame Jr., Darrell White, Jamie Lyons and Mikey McMullin.
Honorary pallbearers will be Marty Bennett, Shane Blasingame, Brad Benson, A.C. Stacy, Hayden Sadler, Calvin Blasingame Jr., Clarence Johnson, Robert Woodrum, Gary Blasingame, Maylon White, C.A. Jones and Cecil Passmore.
Blasingame died Tuesday at St. Bernard's Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro. He was retired from Parker Hannifin in Trumann and was a part-time employee of Bennett's Nursery. He was a member of First General Baptist Church in Trumann.
Survivors include his wife, Bertie Blasingame of the home; one daughter, Doris Benson of Harrisburg, six brothers, Bud Blasingame and Vernon Blasingame, both of Harrisburg, Keith Blasingame of Trumann, Paul Blasingame of Jonesboro, David Blasingame of Texarkana, Texas, and Calvin Blasingame of Stephensville, Texas; seven sisters, Wanda Glowacz and Katherine McMullin, both of Harrisburg, Nancy White of Jonesboro, Charlotte Baxter, Marlene Hancock and Diana Osment, all of Trumann, and Patsy Davis of West Memphis, and two grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5 until 8 this evening at First General Baptist Church in Trumann.
