Robert C. Boyd, 83, Walnut Grove, MO, passed away at 1:51 a.m. Tuesday, June 30, 1998, in St. John's Regional Health Center, Springfield, MO.
He was born in Polk County and was a lifelong resident of the Cave Springs and Walnut Grove areas. He retired as manager of the Walnut Grove M.F.A. after 35 years of service. He was a farmer and stockman. He was a 1935 graduate of Morrisville High School.
He was a member of Valley View Baptist Church, and the O'Sullivan Masonic Lodge A.F. & A.M. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Clinton, and infant Charles Luther Boyd; and a sister Margurite Hall.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Wilma; a son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Jo Boyd, Walnut Grove; six grandchildren, Terry and Janna Hyden, Brock and Michele Thomazin, and Rodney and Tami Boyd; three great-grandchildren, Ty and Hunter Hyden, and Blake Thomazin; a sister and brother-in-law, Anna Lee and Murrell Grant, Springfield, Mo.; a brother-in-law, Robert Hall, Tulsa, Okla.; and his extended family, the Boggs.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, July 2, 1998, in Wilson-Brim-Daniel Funeral Home, Walnut Grove, with the Revs. David Garrison and Bob Perryman officiating. Interment will be in Greene Lawn Cemetery, Walnut Grove.
Friends may call after 3 p.m. today in the funeral home, where the family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m.
