Consoling remarks by Wm J. Cassity he spoke of a friendship that had endured for nineteen years. Said he always found him honest, upright and while very unassuming, yet always ready to do a kind deed. Always a kind father and noble husband.He was a man who stood on his feet and played square. He has lived the good life and kept the faith and has graduated to a reward of righteousness.
The next speaker was Counselor John Stumpp, who recalled his friendship to him as a boy, his thoughtfulness to his family and to others. he felt that his life friendship with him was a very precious memory.
Solo; by Alma Nielson accompanied by his wife.
President Clarence Gardner spoke of the splendid life of Bro James Swenson and wondered how many had stopped to say a word of appreciation for the effort that he put forth. He also spoke of the effort put forth by his father in pioneering Star Valley and the work James did in the Bishopric.
Bishop Harrison gave a few consoling remarks.

Closing Prayer by L.C. Jensen.
The remains were buried in the Afton Cemetery. The grave was dedicated by Elder LeVere Anderson.
There were several relatives form Salt Lake City present and friends from several towns i the Valley. A very large turn out showed respect.
The casket was covered with beautiful flowers.
