"Raymond Lee Gatewood, 67, died Thursday in his home in Union. He was born July 2, 1911, in Miles City, Mont., and was a resident of the Mason County area for 40 years. He was formerly employed as a carpenter in the home construction business. Survivors include three sons, Lee Raymond of Union, Duane Clifton of Shelton, and Dale Robert of Yakima; four daughters, Mrs. Patricia Rae Hontz of Seattle, Mrs. Lynne Ann Phillips of Bremerton, and Mrs. Cheryl Susan Foster and Miss Lori Gayle Gatewood, both of Yakima; a sister, Mrs. Lillian Barnard of Seattle; 19 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. The funeral service will be held this Monday, starting at 11 a.m., in the Batstone Funeral Home with the Rev. Kurt Hardenbrook officiating. Burial will take place in Shelton Memorial Park."
