Walter Joseph Albert, 74, of Linwood, died Wednesday at the Carroll County General Hospital, where he had been a patient for 6 days. He was born in Maryland, the son of the late Emma Louise Albert and he was a retired farmer. His wife, Bertha Irene Haines Albert, died in Jun 1966. Surviving him are the following stepchildren: Charles M Collins, Baltimore; Miss Elizabeth M Ruby, New Windsor; Mrs Virginia M Waddell, Lutherville; and Mrs James McGowan, New Windsor; two sisters: Mrs Gladys Gouker, Linwood, with whom he made his home, and Mrs Fannie Miller, Hampstead; and two brothers, Paul Austin, Glyndon; and Roger Austin Sykesville. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10 am at the Myers Funeral Home, Westminster. The Rev Father Joseph C Antoszewski, pastor of St John's Catholic Church, Westminster will officiate and burial will be in St John's Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Thursday from 7-9 pm and Friday from 3-5 and 7-9 pm.
