Bruce Edward Ackeret, 39, Soldier, died Friday, Sept. 21, 1990, at the scene of a two-vehicle accident in which he was involved about two miles south of Mayetta.
Mr. Ackeret had worked for the Goodyear Rubber & Tire Co., in Topeka the past 21 years.
He was born Jan. 7, 1951, in Holton, the son of John Andrew and Nancy Caroline Hurst Ackeret. He had lived most of his life in the Soldier area and was a member of the United Rubber Worker's Local No. 307 in Topeka and the Methodist Church.
He was married to Nancy Lister on April 15, 1975, in Hiawatha. She survives.
Other survivors include his mother, Nancy Ackeret, Wichita; a son, Shawn Edward Ackeret, at home; a sister, Bonnie Foster, Anchorage, Alaska; and four brothers, John Ackeret and Gary Ackeret, both of Topeka, Jim Ackeret, Anchorage, Alaska, and Roger Ackeret, Wichita.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Mercer Funeral Home in Holton, Burial will be at the Bucks Grove Cemetery in Jackson County.
