Kenneth Pack 76, of Cedar Vale, died May 29, 1995, in Riverside Hospital in Witchita. Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Cedar Vale First Baptist Church. Burial will be in Cedar Vale Cemetery. A memorial has been established with Cedar Vale Community Hospital. Wheeler Funeral Home, Cedar Vale, has charge of arrangements.

Pack was born Feb. 19, 1919, in Cedar Vale, the son of Rufus F. and Bertha Alice (Moore) Pack. He attended Cedar Vale High School. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. On July 30, 1939, he married Junie Jean Vaughan in Cedar Vale. He worked as Cedar Vale water supervisor from 1946 to 1965, when the family moved to Florida. There he worked as maintenance supervisor of Yoder Brothers of Florida Floral Co. until his retirement in 1985, when the family returned to Cedar Vale. He was a member of the Cedar Vale First Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Junie Jean Pack, Cedar Vale; a son, Dennis Pack, Naples, Fla.; a daughter, Kay Myers, Cedar Vale; a sister, Doris West, Phoenix, Ariz.; five grandchildren, four step-grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Services for Kenneth Pack were held 2 p.m. June 1, 1995 at Cedar Vale Baptist Church. The Revs. Aaron Pack and Stanley Upchurch officiated. Mary Bennett, Bwana Drennan, Nedra Musgrove, and Aaron Pack were vocalists. Selections were "Rock of Ages" and "Beyond the Sunset." Casket bearers were Gunar Myers, Kevin Myers, Wayne Pack, Ray Pack, Eddie Pruett and Charles Oliver. Honorary bearers were Buck Melton, Glen Sinclair, Bob House, O.B. Stark and William Walker. Burial was in Cedar Vale Cemetery. Wheeler Funeral Home of Cedar Vale had charge of arrangements.
