Birdie Frances Jackson, 80, of Ennis, passed away Friday, November 7, 2008 at Charlton Methodist Hospital in Dallas.
Birdie was born in Ennis on August 26, 1928 to parents Wilson Marshall and Lottie Belt Marshall. She grew up in Ennis and attended Ennis schools. January 15, 1947 she married Frank Jackson and they lived in Ennis. She was employed as a Seamstress by Michelian Manufacturing for two years, and then Storey Manufacturing for fifteen years. She was a member of the Garrett Baptist Church.
Birdie is survived by one daughter, Patricia and her husband, Robert Pryor, of Palmer, Texas; one sister, Edna Hill, of Palmer; two grandchildren: Darrell Richardson, and his wife, Kim and Dana Richardson; and one great-grandchild, Kolbe Adams.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Frank Jackson in 1999, her daughter, Linda Jackson, in 1997.
Funeral Services for Birdie Jackson will be held Sunday, November 9, 2008 at 3:00 p.m. in the Keever Chapel, with Rev. Mitch Chapman, pastor of First Baptist Church of Ennis, officiating. Visitation will be Saturday, Nov. 8, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Keever's. Interment will be in the Palmer Cemetery, under the direction of J. E. Keever Mortuary, Inc.
