Merritt W. Albright, 89, died on Jan. 23, 2009, at Indian River Medical Center in Vero Beach. He was born in Black Hawk County, Iowa, and lived in Vero Beach for 22 years, coming from North Springfield, Va.

He was a member of the Danvers Fish & Game Club in Middleton, Mass., and Indian River Trap & Skeet Club in Vero Beach and attended Community Church in Vero Beach.

He served in the Army during World War II.

Survivors include his wife, Louise Albright; sons, Russell Albright of Moncks Corner, S.C., and Jeffrey Albright of Hudson, N.H.; brother, Leroy Albright of Salem N.H.; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to Community Church Mission Program, 1901 23rd Street, Vero Beach, FL 32960.

SERVICES: A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. on Jan. 26 at Community Church Chapel in Vero Beach.

Arrangements are by All County Funeral Home & Crematory Treasure Coast Chapel.
