Daughter of Rev. Loren Howson and Beulah Waive (Brown) Hooe; wife of Chester C. Alexander. Mother of three. Attended Illinois State Normal University; legal secretary. Author of six books of poetry. One of her poems, "Humility", was featured during NBC's tribute to Baseball's Hame of Famer, Lou Gehrig. She also did poetry readings on radio (WJBC) when she lived in Bloomington, Illinois. Founding member Isle of Capri Christian Church, Florida, and First Christian Church in Elgin, Illinois.
