Virginia Josephine McCarrell (Jo) age 72 of Lenoir City passed away Sunday evening December 17, 2000 at Park West Hospital.
Jo was retired from Marietta Energy Systems Inc.,K-25, as an Executive Secretary, with 40 years of service. Jo was a graduate of Lenoir City High School Class of 1946.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Edgar McCarrell and Nell Munsey McCarrell; sister, Carrie McCarrell Richoz; brothers, Gene and Lawson McCarrell, niece, Renda Rainsbarger Smith;
Survivors: husband, Harry J. Brown; son and daughter-in-law, Dan and Linda Brown of Brentwood; grandson, Scott Brown of Brentwood and Ashley Brown of Knoxville; great grandson, Matt Brown of Brentwood; sisters, Barbara McCarroll Hartsook of Lenoir City, Florence McCarroll Rainsbarger of Phoenix Arizona; sister-in-law, Olivette Cherry of Knoxville; nieces, Pam Graves of Lenoir City, Ronda Brewer of Lenoir City, Kathy Worrell of Knoxville, Toni Chapman of Macon Georgia, Tara Cherry of Knoxville and Bill Cherry of Louisville Kentucky.
Family and friends will gather at 2 P.M. Wednesday at Loudon County Memorial Gardens for graveside services with Rev. David Bluford officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the home of Pam Graves, 9962 Highway 11 East, Lenoir City.
