Sarah Alice Sellers was born August 23, 1854 in Clay County, Illinois to Peter Sellers and Hannah Berry. Sarah moved with her family to Dewitt County, Illinois. On September 24, 1874, Sarah married Simon Hoff in Dewitt County, Illinois. The couple had twelve children which were born in Illinois, Kansas, Colorado, Oregon, and Oklahoma. The couple finally settled in Wichita, Sedgwick County, Kansas in 1907 and lived there until 1918 when they moved to Eureka Springs, Carroll County, Arkansas. Then in 1924, Simon and Sarah returned to Wichita, Kansas. Sarah remained in Wichita until her death on May 7, 1941.
